In life we all face trials, storms and tribulations. Everyone has different path from God. Anything we want in life takes time. Whether it’s a goal or dream it will take God’s divine power and strength to give to you with determination and persistence to get it. Sometimes it comes easier than other times. So what happens when it doesn’t come easy?
Be patient with God.
Being patient is probably one of the hardest things to do in the world we live in today. Society tells us we need it right now right here and if we don’t get it now our lives will be destructive. On the truth side, God tells us to wait for Him and we will gain new strength.
“Yet those who will wait for the Lord will gain new strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not become tired, they will walk and not become weary” Isaiah 40:31
When we wait for God we are allowing His Will to be done for our lives. We decide we will “walk by faith and not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7) We humble ourselves before Him and realize that He is God Almighty, The Creator of the Universe, The Maker of the Heavens and Earth. When we wait for God we are asserting our trust in Him and not in our flesh desires.
What do we do when we wait?
In our lives there is always a season of planting (waiting) and a season of harvesting (blessing). “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1) God tells us there is a season for everything because in our season of waiting and our season of harvesting is all in Gods perfect divine timing. While we wait we must not sit back and expect God to just do the impossible. In order for God to do the impossible we must go out there and make it happen so He can do the impossible. Meaning we must work for it by praying continually, giving thanks in all circumstances, rejoicing always, reading His Word day and night, plan out the future (what you are waiting for) in prayer and helping others grow in Christ.
Sometimes waiting can be longer than we expected, but if we look in the bible to the truth God made a lot of His people wait. For example, God made Abraham wait for His son to be born (Issac) for over 24 years. God promised He would give them a child for many nations and it took that long. Now that doesnt mean it will take you that long, but I am just showing you an example of how patient Abraham was towards God and how God blessed him because of it.
If you are in a season of waiting I encourage you to hold on. Hold on to Jesus and His promises. “I will never leave you nor forsake you” God never leaves us and He does what is best for us even if we can’t understand at the moment ” (John 13:7). So do not give up and you will recieve more than you expected!
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” Galatians 6:9
