5 Healthy Treats

April 8, 2020 by maddie

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great day so far. My last post of this blog got deleted… so here it is again… enjoy 🙂

Healthy treats can be very difficult to find… especially in the todays society where something can be labeled “healthy” or “natural” when really it isnt at all. So first thing is first please keep in mind that treats are suppose to be something that is a rarity or a once of week kinda thing… not an everyday thing especially if you are trying to lose weight or get lean. I hope you enjoy these EASY, healthy, delicious recipes and foods that I have found to be the most healthy and delicious when it comes to treats! These are my go-to sweets! You can get the items off of amazon by clicking on the sub titles. 🙂

Comment below if you have any healthy treat suggestions!

Smart sweet gummies

If you are a gummy person you are going to LOVE these. 3 grams of sugar, 80 calories per bag!!! Its every girls dream come true and they taste so delicious. I normally get these at local grocery store but due to high depend its hard to get them so I just ordered a big package off of amazon! My favorite is the peach rings... they are to die for! 🙂

Dark Chocolate 70%+

This is my go-to chocolate. When I first tried this I was like wow but then would I looked at the nutrition label I was like no way! Because its so tasty and smooth. In my opinion its better than dove chocolate! 🙂

3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

     Ingredients

  • 1 cup organic cane sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 egg

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a baking mat or parchment paper.

    2. Using a wooden spoon, mix together the peanut butter, white sugar and egg until smooth.

    3. Form dough into heaping tablespoons (about 3/4 inch). Then roll the dough ball in a small bowl of sugar, if desired, to coat the outside. Place on the baking sheet at least 2 inches apart, and then use a fork to flatten and form a cross pattern.

    4. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cookies are just slightly browned on the bottom. Be careful not to over-bake. Remove and let cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

    5. Serve and enjoy!

Popcorn

Best popcorn ever. If you are looking for a low calorie, crunchy and delicious popcorn here it is! They have plenty of flavors on amazon but this one is by far my favorite! 50 calories per cup!

4 Ingredient Cookies

  • 2 cups gluten free rolled oats (Can sub for quinoa flakes or buckwheat flakes)
  • 3 large overripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (can sub for any nut butter)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Healthy Coffee Recipes

February 12, 2020 by maddie

Are you looking for a healthy coffee recipe? Well you’ve come to the right place. Honestly who doesn’t love coffee?! Coffee has sooo many health benefits. But before I share my recipe understand this: you do not need 3 cups of coffee a day. You really only need 1 cup of coffee a day. If you have more than 2 cups that is when Coffee can become not so good for you, so just keep that in mind.

Coffee health benefits:

  • It Increases your fiber intake
  • Protects against cirrhosis of the liver
  • Lowered risk of Type 2 Diabetes.
  • Lowered risk of Alzheimer’s disease
  • Reduces suicide risk and Depression
  • Protection against Parkinson’s
  • Coffee drinkers have less risk of heart disease.

Healthy advice:

One thing you MUST to know is buy your coffee organic! They spray as much pesticides and chemicals on coffee as they do with veggies and fruits. My personal favorite coffee is from patriot coffee or whole foods.

Also… coffee can be a LOT of calories and sugar if you arent too careful. So if you are trying to lose weight or burn fat this is a great healthy coffee recipe for you!

Side note: If you love coffee you will DEFINITELY love this recipe.

So here it is for the coffee lovers out there that need a good healthy and delicious cup of coffee! I have perfected this cup of coffee. It took me months to finally perfect it.

Healthy Ingredients

1 cup of brewed coffee

1 scoop of collagen

1 tablespoon of  honey

Dash of cinnamon

1/3 cup of coconut or almond milk (my personal fav is the califia one!)

I mix all the ingredients to a cup and then I put it in the blender for 2 seconds and you are done!

Sometimes I add coco whip on top!

How to meal prep

January 26, 2020 by maddie

Why meal prep?

Meal prep is one of those things that is essential for losing weight or just staying healthy for busy people. Also it is for people that are on a budget and cant afford to eat out every day! Meal prepping is definitely one of my favorite things to do. The reason why is because I don’t have to worry during the week when I need to cook or finding time to cook the night before or morning of therefore meal prepping has become my best friend. However, it has taken me 2 years to really master meal prepping. So I am going to show you all my tips and tricks so you can eat healthy and achieve those fitness and health goals!

How to meal prep

Before you even think about meal prepping you must be sure of these things

  • You have all the groceries for the meals
  • You have find at least 1 hour of time
  • You have proper tupperware
  • You have to be willing to put in the WORK

Now you are ready to start meal prepping…

First thing, figure out exactly what meals you want to meal prep and make sure you get all the ingredients from the store!

Second thing, pre-heat the oven before you start meal prepping.

Third thing, while meal prepping do NOT try to do it all at once. Try to put certain things in the oven while cooking things on the stove , but make sure you set a timer!

Watch my video to learn exactly how and what I meal prep!!
